Job description

We’re looking for a highly analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to own reporting and dashboard infrastructure across the Growth function of a fast-moving technology company.

This role is focused on execution and clarity. You will build and maintain dashboards, write SQL queries, and ensure decision-makers have reliable reporting that reflects the true state of the business.

This is not a machine learning or modeling role. The focus is operational analytics, reporting accuracy, and translating business questions into structured metrics.

You will work closely with growth leadership and cross-functional teams to turn ambiguous questions into clear reporting systems. The goal is simple. Ensure that stakeholders always have accurate, accessible performance data to make decisions quickly.

What You’ll Work On

Dashboard Development and Reporting

  • Build and maintain dashboards using Hex or similar BI tools
  • Ensure dashboards accurately reflect business performance across key growth metrics
  • Improve dashboard usability so non-technical stakeholders can easily access insights
  • Maintain consistency across reporting views and metric definitions

SQL and Data Querying

  • Write and optimize SQL queries across existing data models
  • Translate business questions into structured queries and reporting outputs
  • Validate data outputs and ensure reporting accuracy
  • Support performance monitoring through reliable reporting pipelines

Metric Definition and Data Integrity

  • Define and maintain consistent metric definitions across dashboards and reports
  • Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in reporting data
  • Investigate root causes and escalate data issues when needed
  • Maintain documentation for metric logic and reporting standards

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work directly with growth, marketing, and operations teams
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured reporting solutions
  • Provide clear explanations of metrics and reporting logic
  • Help teams understand how to use dashboards for decision making

Reporting System Improvements

  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in existing reporting infrastructure
  • Propose improvements to reporting clarity, structure, and usability
  • Support the evolution of reporting systems as the business scales
  • Reduce the need for manual reporting by improving dashboard coverage

What You Bring

  • 3 to 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Analyst roles
  • Advanced SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries
  • Experience building dashboards using Hex or similar BI tools such as Looker, Mode, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Strong ability to translate business questions into data outputs and reporting frameworks
  • High attention to detail and strong commitment to data accuracy
  • Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

  • Experience working with growth or marketing analytics

  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts
  • Experience improving reporting systems or standardizing metric definitions
