Job description

Designer Manager

Managed project planning, organization, and management of the assigned design team to meet project expectations. To perform and manage the complete design process from feasibility study and report, building code and standard compliances, concept design, design development, technical design, tender documents, tender evaluation and procedure, construction documentation and design management during construction, and Responsible Managed the Hotel Operator (6 stars).

Duties and responsibilities

  • Perform concept design studies, sketch plans, and criteria/facilities programs for projects as required.
  • Perform technical review of drawings and required design submissions on assigned projects to ensure conformance with company design standards.
  • Innovative and cost-effective design to meet company design standards.
  • Represents the department to face the clients and builds positive and mutually beneficial relationships
  • Lead communication and coordination with internal and external disciplines to ensure the complete design integration of projects.
  • Track and maintain project milestones, schedule and budget.
  • Conducted and participated in inter-department coordination on all project-related issues.
  • Conduct review/approval (with participation from internal and external disciplines) of variances from company standards requested by clients on specific project requirements.
  • Provide design guidance to the client and their consultants and internal design and construction staff to adapt company design standards.
  • Conduct site visits and prepare Property Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Maintain and update project review templates and quality control checklists.
  • Provide recommendations for design changes to address customer satisfaction, operational concerns, company standards, and development strategies.
  • Supervise, motivate, and train assigned team members and external consultants where necessary
  • Assist the Head of the Department in maintaining and developing company standard documents and workflow.
  • Assist the Head of Department on policy, methods, and systems support matters.
  • Responsible handle with Hotel Operator (6 stars) with Contract Agreement Understanding.
  • Other duties assigned by CEO, DESIGN EXECUTIVE.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in architectural design at a design firm for large commercial and/or residential, office building, and assembly facility projects.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the preparation and coordination of architectural construction documents and coordination of consultants.
  • Good architectural design skills, as well as technical and project management skills.
  • Good business judgment and creative problem-solving attributes.
  • Strong conceptual design/freehand sketching and/or digital presentation abilities.
  • good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Be confident, assertive and independent.
  • Possesses intermediate knowledge of applicable codes and implications on design.
  • Demonstrated success in taking projects through the design review process.
  • Possess the ability to discuss and debate philosophical design issues and solve complex project issues.
  • Advanced design, visual and graphic presentation skills required.
  • Advanced ability to work in a team environment and supervise others.
  • Possess the ability to plan and manage design team efforts to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in high volume, fast-paced environment as a member of a collaborative team
  • Computer skills: electronic markup software, MS Office, MS Project, Sketchup, AutoCAD and other relevant 3d softwares.
  • Advanced responsibility to press hotel operator deliver approval.
