Job Role: Support Paraplanner

Compensation range: $2,000 AUD -  $3,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian-based financial advisory firm that provides comprehensive wealth management and strategic financial planning services. They specialize in helping individuals, families, and business owners make informed financial decisions through tailored advice and long-term planning strategies.

Their services span investment strategy, superannuation, retirement planning, risk management, and overall wealth structuring. The firm takes a client-centric approach, focusing on building long-term relationships grounded in trust, transparency, and personalized guidance. With a strong emphasis on compliance, strategic thinking, and high-quality client service, they operate in a professional yet collaborative environment. 

Role Overview: The Support Paraplanner provides technical and administrative support to Financial Advisers by preparing compliant, well-structured advice documents and conducting detailed strategy research. This role requires a solid understanding of financial planning concepts and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare high-quality Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs), and supporting documentation in line with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Conduct in-depth research on superannuation, investments, insurance, and retirement strategies to support adviser recommendations.
  • Analyze client financial data, prepare projections, and assist in strategy modelling and product comparisons.
  • Ensure all advice documents are accurate, compliant, and delivered within agreed turnaround times.
  • Collaborate closely with Financial Advisers and Client Services team to clarify strategy details and support implementation.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to maintaining efficient paraplanning workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2–5+ years of experience in paraplanning or financial planning support.
  • Strong knowledge of superannuation, investments, insurance, and retirement planning strategies.
  • Experience preparing SOAs and ROAs with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into clear, compliant advice documentation.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and CRM systems.
    Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Nice to Have

  • Progress toward or completion of RG146 (or equivalent financial planning qualifications).
  • Experience working with Australian financial planning firms.
  • Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Xplan, Midwinter, or similar software.
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks within the Australian financial services industry.
  • Understanding of SMSFs, tax structuring strategies, or advanced retirement modelling.
  • Process improvement mindset and experience helping streamline documentation workflows.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
