Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Integration Engineer to join our team. The Integration Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing the integration of diverse systems, applications, and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of integration frameworks, APIs, and middleware technologies, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Integration:
    • Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions between internal systems, third-party applications, and cloud platforms.
    • Evaluate and recommend integration tools and platforms based on project requirements.
  • API Development and Management:
    • Develop, deploy, and manage RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and other data exchange interfaces.
    • Ensure API security and performance through proper authentication, authorization, and optimization.
  • Middleware and Data Transformation:
    • Implement and configure middleware solutions to facilitate data exchange between heterogeneous systems.
    • Transform and map data between source and target systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Testing and Validation:
    • Conduct unit and system-level testing to verify the functionality of integration solutions.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Work closely with software developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to gather integration requirements and align solutions with business goals.
    • Document integration processes, workflows, and technical specifications for future reference and maintenance.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Monitor the performance of integration solutions and optimize for speed, reliability, and scalability.
    • Implement logging and monitoring tools to ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on emerging integration technologies and industry best practices.
    • Contribute to the evolution of the organization’s integration architecture.

  • Proficiency in integration platforms and tools such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of database systems and SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration services.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Secret Clearance

Preferred:

  • Certifications in integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer, Dell Boomi Professional Developer).
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architecture and microservices.
  • Experience with message queue systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Understanding of security protocols for integration (e.g., OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
