OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Sr Director of Engineering who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations. You will lead a direct and indirect team of talented engineers and technical leaders to deliver our core capability of Technical Expertise to our customers. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cutting-edge engineering solutions. Your strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership will be critical in achieving our company's growth objectives and maintaining our position as an industry leader.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the engineering strategy to support our customers goals of DFM, DFX, product innovation, process optimization, technical governance and cost efficiency
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance engineering team across the enterprise with a broad team of direct and indirect employees, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the design methodologies, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure they meet the quality standards and cost objectives of our customer 
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in manufacturing and engineering to enhance competitiveness and stay ahead of industry developments
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, supply chain, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions into the overall business strategy
  • Manage the engineering department's budget effectively, allocating resources efficiently to achieve project and departmental goals
  • Ensure engineering processes across the enterprise comply with relevant industry standards
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering projects and processes
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and vendors to source materials, components, and technologies that support engineering initiatives
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team, fostering innovation and implementing best practices
  • Own the recruitment, training, and career development for engineering talent across the enterprise. 
Requirements

  • Proven experience (15+ years) in engineering leadership roles within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in process engineering, product development, and technology adoption
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and safety standards
  • Proficiency in project management and budget management

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • Masters degree preferred
