Software Development Consultant

Abtech is looking for an experienced PHP software developer to work remotely with our programming team as an independent contractor on a part-time basis. Initially, 5 hours a week will be required. After 3-4 weeks this will increase to 10 hours per week for a successful engagement.

Qualifications

· At least 3-5 years’ experience with PHP proficiency (we are currently using PHP 8.1)

· Basic 3rd party library understanding

· Web development expertise (raw JS and jQuery, we do not use a JS framework but experience with one would be great)

· Knowledge of an MVC structure (we use CodeIgniter as our PHP framework, but CodeIgniter specific knowledge is not required)

· Ability to work with JS APIs and find new tools on the web to implement into system

· Ability to properly document work, including bug reporting and fixing with overseas testers

· One of our primary goals is PDF/Word doc parsing to HTML, and experience related to this is desirable

· AWS infrastructure

· Load balancing

· S3 buckets
