Job description

This is a remote position.



Having launched our PetRehomer service in Q4, 2022 we are ready to expand our team of highly motivated volunteers!

We have so much content available (pet-welfare information, newly listed pets, rehomed pets, urgent shout-outs etc.), to share onto our social media channels that we need to recruit another volunteer to help us with the postings.

What will you be doing?

As part of our marketing strategy we need to give as much exposure as possible to every pet that is listed. At the moment there are so many pets looking for homes that we need to ensure our reach is as wide as possible.

In this key role, your responsibility will be to:

1) Create social media content to showcase the available pets listed on PetRehomer, with the purpose of engaging potential adopters to enquire.

2) Upload content onto social media channels regularly (as soon as they are available or at an agreed time to suit your schedule). 

What are we looking for?

Someone who is 100% reliable and used to posting onto social media, and who has 20-30 minutes regularly to create and/or upload the content onto our social channels. The ideal person will have an aptitude for creative writing and a good command of the English language.

What difference will you make?

Our pet rehoming and adoption platform was launched in Q4, 2022 and we are the first animal welfare charity in the UK that is enabling the public to safely choose a new home for their pet, to do so with confidence, using our fully supported, direct home-to-home service.


Our vision is to compete with the unregulated market place operators such as Gumtree and Preloved that are purely profit-focussed. We believed that it was about time that a charity stepped in and offered a better alternative. PetRehomer does just that.
