Requirements:

  • Create and implement strategies to increase revenue and enhance brand value, and collaborate with executive leadership to plan rapid growth in the mining sector (including the North America region)
  • Advise on electric vehicle industry trends and contribute to growth strategies; analyze current practices and propose opportunities for future growth
  • Identify and develop new accounts, opportunities, and partnerships within the mining industry; ensure smooth handoff from business development to the Account Manager
  • Drive business development to meet regional sales targets and lead the BD team to expand the pipeline and secure project wins

Position: Senior Business Development Manager - North America


Join MEVCO as a Senior Business Development Manager. As a pivotal member of our dynamic organization spearheading innovation in the mining industry, you will play a key role in leading sales efforts in North America, specifically targeting the electric vehicles sector within mining. Your responsibilities will include driving strategic initiatives and forming partnerships crucial to market growth and profitability.


MEVCO is a portfolio company of Resource Capital Funds (RCF), offering a global startup environment that aims to transform the operation of mining vehicles and contribute to the sustainability of the mining industry.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Development Strategies:

  • Create and implement strategies to increase company revenue and enhance brand value.
  • Work with executive leadership to develop a dynamic and flexible business strategy for rapid growth in the mining industry.

Market Analysis and Growth Strategies:

  • Advise on electric vehicle industry trends and contribute to the development of growth strategies.
  • Analyze existing business strategies and provide recommendations for future growth.

Account and Pipeline Management:

  • Find and develop potential new accounts, business opportunities, and partnerships within the Mining industry.
  • Ensure seamless handoff from business development to the Account Manager for new business opportunities.

Sales Targets and Team Growth:

  • Drive Business Development and operations to meet regional sales targets.
  • Lead the Business Development team to achieve strong growth in pipeline and project wins.

Strategic Planning:

  • Assist executive leadership in setting investment direction to support profitable growth in the Mining technology market space.
  • Collaborate with strategic marketing team to develop plans outlining positioning, customer segment opportunity, products, pricing, campaigns, and competitive analysis.

Representation and Collaboration:

  • Participate in seminars and industry events to represent MEVCO in the Mining technology market.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product teams, technical sales consultants, and marketing, to develop and execute go-to-market plans.

Cross-Division Collaboration:

  • Collaborate seamlessly within the company to leverage synergies within our growing global team.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years consultative sales in the Mining or Mining Technology Industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the mining industry and software solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated existing strong business relationships with decision-makers in the mining industry.
  • Mental Agility: Hunter mentality with a passion for new business growth and development.
  • Strategic Thinking: Success in identifying new opportunities, developing, and implementing successful pursuit strategies.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead across broad and geographically dispersed mining locations.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make timely decisions in complex situations, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
  • Attributes: Strong sense of urgency, self-starter thriving in an ever-evolving sales environment.
  • Judgment: Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Industry Understanding: Understanding of value propositions and use cases in the mining industry.


Additional Information:

  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 30% in the region (Arizona/Nevada/Colorado/Texas/New Mexico, Canada).
