Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a structural engineering role
  • Strong understanding and demonstrable experience in reinforced concrete structures (both precast and in situ)
  • High degree of proficiency with Autodesk Inventor software, including the ability to produce shop drawings for basic steel end shutters
  • Ability to interpret consultant design drawings, including architectural, structural and building services

Requirements:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of precast element shop drawings, including checking product codes for compliance with Company Standard Details and reviewing temporary state, propping of precast panels and lifting/handling of precast elements
  • Model and produce shop drawings of the company's steel end shutters using Autodesk Inventor, coordinating end shutters based on precast element shop drawings
  • Conduct quantity take-offs for precast elements using the Company's Online Design Tool and Bluebeam Revu for scope markups
  • Work with and support internal Senior Product Engineers in delivering live projects

JOB SUMMARY:

Structural Engineer

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Structural Engineer, you will work with and support our internal Senior Product Engineers in the delivery of live projects through:

  • Assisting in the preparation and review of precast element shop drawings. o Includes checking of product codes for compliance with Company's Standard Details. o Includes reviews of Company's elements in the temporary state, propping of precast panels and reviews of lifting and handling of precast elements.

  • Modelling and shop drawing of Company's steel end shutters using Autodesk Inventor to supply to our customers for the casting for Company's elements in the factory. This includes detailed coordination of end shutters based on the shop drawings of precast elements.

  • Quantity take offs for precast elements using the Company's Online Design Tool, and Bluebeam Revu for scope mark ups.



Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a structural engineering role.

  • Strong understanding and demonstrable experience in reinforced concrete structures (both precast and in situ).

  • Ability to interpret consultant design drawings, including architectural, structural and building services.

  • High degree of proficiency with Autodesk Inventor software, including the ability to produce shop drawings for basic steel end shutters.

  • Ability to communicate confidently and engage with internal stakeholders and colleagues.

  • Ability to learn new software and understand our in-house design software for the design of Company's elements

  • Experience is precast propping and lifting and handling design would be viewed favourably.

  • Some familiarity with Australian Design Codes would be viewed favourably.
