Backend Developer

Location: Remote in Latam
Job Type: Full-Time Employee or Contractor
Contract Type: Full-time Colombian Labor Contract or Contractor

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Ensure system scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to define and integrate APIs.
• Troubleshoot and debug backend systems, ensuring high availability.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.

Technical Requirements

• +4 Years of solid experience with at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Go, Java, or C#).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container/orchestration tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

General Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent English (B2+), both written and spoken.
• Proactive communication, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in Agile teams.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work in distributed teams.
