Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of Rails experience
  • Expert with backend technologies (Ruby/Postgres/Sidekiq/Redis)
  • Experience working with legacy code
  • 1-3 years of experience with Webpack

Requirements:

  • Develop and maintain Rails backend services, including a large legacy codebase
  • Optimize and scale data models in PostgreSQL; implement background jobs with Sidekiq/Redis
  • Collaborate with frontend teams (React/Vue) and support legacy UI (jQuery/Haml), participate in architecture and code reviews
  • Build and evolve payment integrations and external APIs (Stripe) as needed

Job description

5+ years of Rails experience

Expert with backend technologies (Ruby/Postgres/Sidekiq/Redis)

Experience working with legacy code - Our application is huge and a decent portion of it

is considered "legacy code"

1-3 years of experience with Webpack

1-3 years of experience with jQuery/Haml - for the legacy portion of our code

Experience with JavaScript SPA (React/Vue) is a bonus

Experience with payment systems / apis like Stripe a bonus
