Front-End Developer

Our client is looking for a Frontend technologist with an affinity to stellar UX experiences to build our next generation of products. You will join our team of other world-class Engineers and collaborate closely with our Operations, UX/UI Design, Product, and Marketing teams. While we prefer candidates located in Chicago, we will consider exceptional applicants in other locations.

Responsibilities

• Leveraging deep technical knowledge to solve complex business problems

• Exemplifying high standards and attention to detail in aesthetics of code, user experience, and security

• Willingness to mentor dev teammates and be mentored by freight industry experts

• Understanding the latest emerging technology and knowing when and when not to use it

• Codifying our software development process, including procedures for writing unit tests, performing code reviews, etc.

• Supporting production deployments

• Perform other duties as assigned
  

Required Technology Skills

• Experience with at least 1 JavaScript frontend framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)

• Bonus points for NodeJS

• You can skillfully write high-quality, performant, and well-tested code

• You have extensive experience developing and deploying software products

• You advocate for technical excellence while being open to change when needed

Bonus Skills/Qualifications

• Experience working with AWS Services such as AWS Lambda and ECS

• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.

• Experience with UI Component Libraries and Design Systems

• Expertise in maintaining cross-browser compatibility and full digital accessibility

• You are present in the external tech community and proactively share your expertise with others via speaking engagements, contributions to open source, blogs, and more

• Youre resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives
