Overview

Outsource Ability, on behalf of our client, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to support the coordination and management of supply chain and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, services, and information across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shipment Coordination: Assist in organising and tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs paperwork.
  • Inventory Support: Monitor stock levels and liaise with relevant teams to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Supplier Communication: Act as a point of contact for suppliers, transport providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve logistical issues to minimise delays and disruptions.
  • Reporting: Generate and maintain reports on logistics performance, costs, and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Support the implementation of best practices to enhance logistics operations.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related administrative role.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing documentation and records.

Equipment & Connectivity Requirements

To perform effectively in this role, candidates must have:

  • Their own laptop and headset (capable of supporting logistics and communication tools).
  • Reliable power supply (Solar, UPS, or Inverter) to ensure uninterrupted work.
  • Stable internet connection (sufficient speed for managing systems, reporting, and video conferencing).
