Network management 

You will be part of a team that manages internal and external service provider stakeholders, navigating changes in local market regulations and identifying their impact on GIC’s operational processes supporting investment activities. 

The team is responsible for the appointment and ongoing service performance monitoring of these service providers, ensuring high standards of asset servicing and operational efficiency.

 

What impact can you make in this role? 

You will play a crucial role in managing GIC's external relationships, including service providers, counterparties, and clients. This role requires strong communication and involves close collaboration with senior management, external counterparts and various internal teams to meet business needs and priorities. 

 

What will you do as an AVP, Network Management? 

Strategic Engagements & Vendor Management: Identify and work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to engage and manage strategic partnerships to align with business priorities and focus areas. 

    • Drive relationship management with external counterparties, custodians, and client, ensuring alignment with business objectives and services.
    • Negotiate fees, service levels, and contracts to deliver cost-effective, high-quality services.
    • Conduct formal due diligence and risk-based performance reviews for vendor and custodian partnerships.

Project Management: 

    • Support the delivery of various projects, such as service provider RFP assessments which requires tight coordination of multiple tracks and clear communication of direction and timelines for the teams involved while delivering quality results.

Service Performance Management: 

    • Oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies for continuous process improvement in service delivery.
    • Define and implement frameworks for assessing operational risks and use predictive analytics to mitigate potential threats.

Regulatory and Market Monitoring:

    • Act as the firm’s representative for regulatory engagements, navigating changes in global financial and operational regulations.
    • Conduct impact assessment of regulatory and market structural changes, proactively proposing updates to operational frameworks.

Digital Transformation:

    • Champion the implementation of AI-enabled performance monitoring and reporting solutions to improve operational efficiencies.
    • Collaborate with IT and internal teams to integrate operational technology platforms into day-to-day network management processes.

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field with at least 3-6 years of relevant working experience. 
  • Good understanding and knowledge of post-trade operations and regulations
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to collaborate well with internal and external counterparts in a dynamic environment.
  • Independent and self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management abilities to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and effective communication skills.  Capable of articulating and presenting business cases and justifications to drive decision-making where appropriate.
  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Good grasp of China financial markets regulatory and infrastructure is advantageous.  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL skills and emerging AI toolkits is beneficial.
