GIC Private Equity

We deploy capital in areas where we can utilise our comparative advantages, namely, a long investment horizon, global presence, sector expertise, as well as skilled, and experienced teams.

 

Secondaries
You will invest with leading private equity secondaries sponsors and participate in a wide array of secondaries deals involving the acquisition of private equity fund stakes, and general partner-led transactions.

 

What impact can you make in this role?

You will join the Secondaries investment team in New York as part of a 3-year Associate program. You will be part of a global team with colleagues in London and Singapore. You will focus on developed markets in North America and Europe, with occasional opportunities to support transactions in Asia or emerging markets.

 

What will you do as an Associate?

  • Building of excel based models to value operating companies, funds, portfolios and preferred structures
  • Support the preparation of deal memos and assist in Investment Committee and other internal presentations
  • Represent GIC with private equity managers, company management, counterparties and intermediaries during due diligence and monitoring
  • Coordinate with other strategy groups (Funds, Direct Investments, Credit, Venture, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Public Markets) on investment opportunities
  • Maintain market and deal databases
  • Assist in deal closing with internal and external legal counsel, back and middle office

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? 

  • 2-3 years in investment banking, private equity, or similar work experience
  • BA is required with top academic qualifications and demonstrated performance
  • Maturity, presence, organizational and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office, corporate finance, and excel valuation modeling
  • VBA or other programing experience, CapitalIQ, foreign languages a plus

Compensation

Our compensation philosophy reflects several principles. We strive to provide a competitive compensation package to attract and retain talent globally. We pay for performance, and reward sustainable results.
Total pay for this position comprises base pay and bonus. The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $121,500 and $161,100.

Bonuses, which may form a meaningful proportion of the total pay package, are determined based on company and individual performance.
