Roles & Responsibilities

8+ years of experience in network switching and routing with Cisco and Dell switches and Cisco ASA firewalls
Hands-on network infrastructure expertise with Dell and Cisco switches, including data flow diagrams and security gap analysis
Experience with three-tier web applications in public/private clouds and practical Azure knowledge
Proficiency in cloud monitoring (Datadog), automation/DevOps, cloud-native architecture, and system monitoring; familiarity with virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware) and SAN/NAS storage

Requirements:

Design, implement, and manage network switching/routing solutions across on premises and cloud environments (Azure)
Configure and maintain security appliances including Cisco ASA firewalls and third party firewalls (ZScaler, Palo Alto, Checkpoint); perform regular security assessments
Create data flow diagrams, perform gap analyses, and recommend holistic security improvements
Monitor and support three-tier web applications in public/private clouds using Datadog; manage virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware) and storage (SAN/NAS)

Job description

Title: Platform Engineer
Location: 100% Remote
Type: Contract

Mandatory skills:

Have an overall experience of around 8+ years in network Switching & Routing with Cisco and Dell switches and Cisco ASA firewalls.
Network expertise - hands-on with Dell, Cisco switches
Have expertise in network infrastructure, able to produce data flow diagrams, perform a gap analysis and suggest appropriate holistic improvements to enhance security.
Have experience working with three-tier web applications, running in public and/or private clouds.
Knowledge of ZScaler, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint firewall
Have experience with Azure.
Have experience with Cloud monitoring tools like Datadog
Possess strong knowledge of current technologies, with proficiency in the areas of automation, DevOps, cloud-native architecture, and system monitoring.
