Azure Data Engineer
Location: Remote


Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines on Azure.
  • Develop ETL processes that collect, process, and store data from various sources into Azure data storage solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements.
  • Optimize data solutions for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement data governance best practices and ensure data quality and integrity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for data orchestration and ETL workflows.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Blob Storage, and other Azure data services.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building data pipelines at scale.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders in a remote work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Developer Associate).
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Azure Databricks, HDInsight, or Spark.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and data manipulation.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
