Job description

Position: Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL or Remote
Duration: 6-12 Months
Rate: DOE

As a Lead Azure SRE, will be responsible for driving the reliability, performance, and scalability of cloud-based applications and services. Your expertise in Kubernetes, scripting, troubleshooting, and observability will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and efficient Azure cloud operations environment.
Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting cloud environments and diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain high availability and performance.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Infrastructure, including Networking, Compute, Storage, and KeyVaults [Other Azure Services]
Expert level knowledge of Azure Networking and Network Security (Virtual WAN, vNets, ExpressRoute, VPN, Cisco FTDv firewall, Network Security Groups, DMZ)
Strong level understanding of Networking and IP routing (CIDR, subnetting, VLSM, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS)
Strong understanding of Azure Security (Entra ID, RBAC, Policies)
Troubleshoot and resolve critical or escalated technical issues of affected equipment.
Help deploy, test, and troubleshoot Azure services.
Participate in an on-call rotation and be onsite as needed.
Take part in the development of technical processes and documentation.
Utilize Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting skills to develop automation tools and streamline repetitive tasks.
Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and maintenance to achieve operational efficiency.
Implement proactive monitoring and alerting solutions to identify and address potential problems before they escalate
