Job description

Title: Senior Oracle DBA (Remote)
Position Type: Contract (05-04-2026 to 03-29-2027)
Location: Herndon, VA
Rate: DOE

Task Description:
The Oracle database administrator is responsible for administering the MeF Oracle databases to include performance, integrity and security of the databases.
The Oracle database administrator is also responsible for managing the Oracle databases in such a way as to provide all users access in a form that suits their needs.
Primary Duties:

Troubleshooting user issues - 50%
Ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly - 20%
Monitoring performance and managing parameters - 10%
Managing user access, permissions and privileges - 10%
Database documentation - 10%

Required Skills/Level of Experience:

Oracle 19c installation, backup and recovery procedures – 10 yrs
Database account and schema creation and maintenance – 10 yrs
Unix shell scripting – 6 yrs
Database and SQL tuning with AWR/ADDM or Statspack reports – 7 yrs
Data import and export – 6 yrs
GoldenGate installation and setup – 6 yrs
Create and maintain Logical Data Model and Physical Data Model documents. Experience with ERWin tools – 5 yrs
