Job Description – Network Support Engineer (Remote, USA)
We are looking for a Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in firewall management, routing, switching, and load balancing to join our remote team across the United States. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about network security, infrastructure reliability, and performance optimization.
Roles & Responsibilities

Manage, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls to ensure network security and compliance.
Support core routing and switching functions across LAN and WAN environments.
Administer and optimize load balancers for efficient traffic distribution.
Implement and maintain network access and authentication tools such as Cisco Client, Duo Security, and Linux servers.
Monitor, analyze, and resolve network performance issues using advanced network tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support infrastructure projects and resolve escalations.
Document network designs, configurations, and security procedures.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer or Network Support Engineer.
Deep understanding of firewall technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar).
Strong knowledge of LAN vs WAN networks (LAN – Local Area Network for on-premises; WAN – Wide Area Network for geographically dispersed connectivity).
Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and load balancers.
Familiarity with Cisco Client, Duo, and Linux servers.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
