About the Opportunity:
Nitor is partnering with one of its healthcare technology clients to bring in a hands-on Principal Architect who will play a critical role in their Incubation Team. This role is ideal for a highly technical individual contributor who thrives on rapid experimentation, cloud-native development, and applying cutting-edge technologies—especially in GCP and Generative AI—to real-world healthcare challenges.
Role Overview:
As a Principal Architect, you will be directly responsible for designing and building innovative prototypes and solutions that could shape the future of digital healthcare. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to transform ideas into scalable proof-of-concepts, all while staying deeply hands-on in coding, architecture, and cloud deployment.
This is not a purely strategic or oversight role—you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and build.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and develop cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for healthcare products and services.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on ideas to validate technical and product feasibility.
  • Leverage Generative AI models and frameworks (LLMs, Vertex AI, Hugging Face, etc.) to build intelligent healthcare applications.
  • Write clean, scalable code and infrastructure as code (Terraform, GCP Cloud Run, Firestore, PubSub, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
  • Ensure architectural decisions align with security, scalability, and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Continuously explore and recommend new technologies and frameworks to support innovation.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with GCP (preferred) or other cloud platforms.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping and delivering functional MVPs.
  • Solid knowledge of GenAI, including prompt engineering, API integration, Vertex AI, and use of LLMs in production environments.
  • Proficient in modern development languages such as Python, Typescript and also building REST APIs using frameworks such as Fast API
  • Experience with containerization (Docker based) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Experience with Frontend Frameworks such as React is a plus.
  • Understanding of healthcare domain, data standards (FHIR, HL7), and compliance (HIPAA) is a plus.
  • Self-driven, highly technical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
