MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Welocalize is seeking passionate and culturally fluent linguists with deep knowledge of gaming and app-related content to join our Gaming Localization team. You’ll help shape engaging in-app content and user experiences that resonate with Dutch-speaking audiences in Netherlands across genres and platforms.
You’ll translate and adapt a variety of gaming-related content into native-level Dutch bringing an authentic tone and voice to our client's global gaming platform. This is more than localization—it’s storytelling for a gaming-savvy audience.
Project Details:
Language Pair: English (US) > Dutch (NL)
Task Type: Translation, Transcreation, Copy Editing
Volume: 2–5 hours/day (5 days/week)
Tools: Client tools
Workload: Daily/Weekly availability preferred
Assessment: Translation + Gaming/Creative task via attached test
MAIN DUTIESTranslate and post-edit gaming-related content with precision and creativity.Adapt tone, style, and structure to reflect gaming culture, trends, and idiomatic usage in Dutch (Netherlands).Collaborate with our assessment team to complete brief testing in our platform (linguistic + creative tasks).Maintain brand consistency and linguistic accuracy across UI, banners, promotional assets, and in-game text.Provide feedback or suggestions for improving content relevance and user engagement.REQUIRED SKILLSExperience in gaming, apps, or creative localization.Strong familiarity with gaming terminology, trends, genres, and cultural context.Excellent command of Dutch (Netherlands) and deep cultural fluency.Comfortable using CAT tools and adapting content to multiple platforms.Degree in linguistics, translation, or journalism.
