Overview Freedom Challenge USA is seeking a Data Volunteer to support a short-term project focused on organizing and summarizing event data from previous years. This is a fully remote, unpaid volunteer position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with spreadsheets, organizing information, and helping teams make informed decisions through clear data summaries.
Responsibilities
Gather and organize event data from past Freedom Challenge events
Clean, sort, and standardize information across spreadsheets
Create simple summaries, charts, or basic dashboards to highlight trends
Develop clear documentation so staff can update or use the data in the future
Collaborate with Freedom Challenge staff throughout the project
Qualifications
Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail
Organized and able to work independently
Willing to ask questions and clarify project needs
Interest in nonprofit work or data analytics (helpful but not required)
Time Commitment
Project-based role lasting approximately 3–6 months
Flexible schedule determined with project supervisor
