Application Administrator
Job Description:
The Application Administrator is responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, and optimization of an organization's software applications. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of critical business systems like ERPs, CRMs, and SaaS solutions by performing regular updates, troubleshooting complex issues, and managing user access.
Required Skills:
Application Maintenance: Install, configure, and upgrade server-side and client-side application software.
Applications include but not limited to Windows Server 2022, Windows 11, Cloudbees Jenkins, Ansible, Loadrunner, FlexDeploy, ConfigSnapShot etc.
2-3 Years hands on experience as a System Administrator/Applications Administrator maintaining applications, production updtime, licensing, managing vulnerabilities and addressing upgrade related tasks.
System Monitoring: Proactively monitor application performance, uptime, and logs to prevent or minimize customer impact.
Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2/3 support to diagnose and resolve software bugs, system errors, and integration failures.
User Management: Administer user security, permissions, and roles within applications to maintain data integrity and compliance.
Automation: Write and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and backups.
Vendor Liaison: Collaborate with external software vendors to resolve technical issues and evaluate new features.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical guides, user manuals, and system configuration databases.
Change Management: Coordinate maintenance windows and patches according to established organizational policies.
Current CompTIA Security + Required
Any of the following certifications for 8570 Baseline strongly preferred: CISSP, CCNA, CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, CND, CSSLP, CYSA+, GSLC, SSCP
Clearance Requirement:
