ServiceNow Architect – CMDB & Security - REMOTE

We’re looking for a highly experienced ServiceNow Architect with deep expertise in CMDB architecture, security integration, and validated (GxP) environments within the life sciences industry. If you excel at designing compliant, scalable ServiceNow ecosystems that support regulated business processes, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Platform Architecture & Validation

• Lead the architecture and governance of the ServiceNow platform in a validated GxP environment.
• Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, GAMP 5, and global regulatory standards.
• Partner with Quality, Compliance, and IT to maintain validation deliverables (URS, FRS, DS, IQ/OQ/PQ, traceability).
• Support CSV/CSA methodologies and define compliant change control processes.
• Maintain audit readiness and support internal/external regulatory inspections.

CMDB & CSDM Governance

• Own CMDB design aligned with CSDM best practices and validated system boundaries.
• Define CI classification, lifecycle governance, and robust data integrity controls.
• Implement reconciliation, audit trails, and documentation required for regulated systems.
• Drive CMDB data quality, compliance dashboards, and oversight of Discovery/Service Mapping in GxP environments.

Security, Risk & Compliance Integration

• Architect and implement Security Operations, Vulnerability Response, and IRM in alignment with life sciences standards.
• Integrate vulnerability/security tools with the CMDB to maintain validated asset inventories.
• Ensure RBAC meets regulatory segregation-of-duties expectations.
• Support risk assessments, CAPA, audit findings, and compliance reporting.
• Collaborate closely with InfoSec and Quality to maintain validated configuration states.

ITOM, ITSM & Regulated Change Management

• Design ITSM/ITOM processes that support validated change management requirements.
• Govern all updates, patches, configurations, and enhancements within a validated framework.
• Define automation strategies that preserve auditability and traceability.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of ServiceNow experience, including 3+ years in an architectural leadership role.
• Strong background operating ServiceNow in GxP‑regulated life sciences environments.
• Deep expertise in CMDB design, governance, and CSDM implementation.
• Strong knowledge of CSV, CSA, GAMP 5, and global regulatory frameworks.
• Experience supporting FDA/EMA inspections.
• Hands‑on experience with ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping) and Security modules.
• Strong understanding of access controls, audit trails, and data integrity.
• Required certifications: ServiceNow CSA + CIS‑ITSM and/or CIS‑ITOM (CTA preferred).

Preferred Experience

• Background supporting validated systems in pharma, biotech, or medical device organizations.
• Familiarity with regulated infrastructure for clinical, lab, or manufacturing systems.
• Experience with AWS/Azure in GxP cloud environments.
• Experience delivering ServiceNow solutions in global, highly regulated enterprises.
