Description:

CTG is seeking a Senior Custom PCell & Layout Automation Engineer to join our client’s team.

Location: Remote
Duration: 10 months

What You’ll Do:

Design, implement, and maintain parameterized cells (PCell/pyCell) for devices, primitives, and layout generators.
Ensure geometry correctness, parameter validation, DRC/LVS compliance, and proper pin/label conventions.
Develop and test PCells in Cadence Virtuoso (SKILL/SKILL++) and Synopsys Custom Compiler (PyCell/Python; OA APIs).
Support physical verification readiness with Cadence PVS or Synopsys ICV, coordinating with teams using Siemens Calibre when needed.
Validate extraction views (Cadence Quantus / Synopsys StarRC) and maintain netlisting/simulation consistency.
Build unit/functional tests, regression suites, and golden reference layouts.

Skills & Experience:

Strong expertise in PCell development and layout automation for custom ICs.
Hands-on experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, and verification flows.
Knowledge of DRC/LVS, extraction, netlisting, and simulation processes.
Ability to create automated test suites and maintain robust layout generators.
Excellent written/verbal communication and team collaboration skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $85.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
