About the role:
RYZ Labs is looking for a dedicated Video Editor to join the creative team of one of our clients. The role involves creating impactful memorial keepsake videos and ensuring high-quality video content that aligns with their brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create memorial slideshow videos similar to this example video here, often with tight turnaround times aligned to service schedules - Work closely with the Head of Customer Success, as well as families who have lost a loved one, to incorporate family photos, audio/video clips, and personalized elements into memorial keepsakes/slideshows for funerals and/or services
- Collaborate with the internal team, the CEO, and the Head of Growth to take the creative lead on editing video content for marketing/brand
- Partner closely with our lead video editor to manage shared ownership of the production pipeline, clearly divide responsibilities, and ensure all deadlines are consistently met
- Take active responsibility for tracking production timelines and proactively communicating if adjustments are needed to keep deliverables on schedule
- Utilize DaVinci Resolve for video editing and enhancement.
- Identify patterns and establish standardized video formats for streamlined production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver video content promptly.
- Maintain organized video files and project documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in video editing with strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve.
- Ability to recognize design patterns and standardize video templates for efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and storytelling.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the capability to work collaboratively with a remote team.
- Ability to work effectively under tight turnaround timelines without sacrificing quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Canva, Figma, or similar design tools.
- Experience with internal team tools, such as Slack, Google Docs/Drive, and Notion.
