Requirements:

  • Edit long-form YouTube videos, YouTube Shorts, Meta ads, Google ads, and internal videos, with a minimum output of 8 YouTube videos per month and 25+ ads per month.
  • Design YouTube thumbnails and simple graphics, following brand guidelines, with bold on-screen text, callouts, arrows, and highlights; maintain brand consistency.
  • Prioritize engaging openings and high-energy pacing: ensure the first 30 seconds captivate viewers, apply jump cuts, zooms, dynamic cropping, animated transitions, and screen switches; no still frames longer than 2 seconds.
  • Follow Trivium Group's Video Editing Guidelines, prioritize real footage over stock, deliver premium edits, and participate in the review/revision process to align with feedback.

The Role

As our Video Editor, you’ll transform raw footage into engaging, high-performing video content across YouTube, paid ads, and internal assets. You’ll collaborate closely with the marketing team to execute clear creative briefs, follow established editing guidelines, and deliver quickly without compromising quality.

We’re looking for a high-output, detail-oriented Video Editor to join our marketing team. This role is primarily focused on Trivium Group content, with occasional projects for other companies founded by Mina Elias. You’ll be responsible for editing performance-driven YouTube videos, high-energy paid ads, and internal content, with a strong emphasis on storytelling, pacing, and visual polish.

You’ll be editing both long-form and short-form content, creating thumbnails and simple graphics, and ensuring every deliverable looks premium, dynamic, and on-brand.

Key Responsibilities

🎬 Video Editing & Production

  • Edit long-form YouTube videos, YouTube Shorts, Meta ads, Google ads, and internal videos
  • Produce a minimum of:
    • 8 YouTube videos per month
    • 25+ ads per month (short-form, high-energy)
  • Ongoing internal and marketing video requests
  • Ensure the first 30 seconds of YouTube videos are highly engaging and retention-focused
  • Ensure all ads are high-energy from the first second with strong hooks
  • Maintain fast pacing: no still frames longer than 2 seconds
  • Apply jump cuts, zooms, dynamic cropping, animated transitions, and screen switches

🎨 Graphics, Thumbnails & Visual Design

  • Design YouTube thumbnails following brand guidelines
  • Create bold, high-contrast on-screen text, callouts, arrows, and highlights
  • Use split screens and layered visuals strategically to add depth and emphasis
  • Maintain strict brand consistency (fonts, colors, visual style)
  • Support social posts and templates with clean, effective design

📐 Brand & Editing Standards

  • Follow Trivium Group’s Video Editing Guidelines precisely
  • Prioritize real footage (Mina’s content, personal clips) over stock
  • Use B-roll strategically
  • Deliver edits that feel premium — no cheap, lazy, or rushed work

🔁 Reviews & Revisions

  • First submission receives a full review (structure, pacing, visuals, audio, storytelling)
  • Subsequent revisions focus on implementing feedback accurately without introducing new issues
  • Maintain consistency with prior feedback and creative direction

Requirements

Must Haves

  • 2+ years experience as a Video Editor (YouTube)
  • Strong proficiency with professional editing tools
  • Excellent understanding of pacing, retention, and high-energy editing
  • Ability to follow detailed guidelines and execute with precision
  • Strong attention to detail — spelling, grammar, visuals, and audio must be flawless
  • Reliable internet, ability to work remotely, and meet fast turnaround times
  • Clear communication skills and strong written English

Nice to Have (Strong Plus)

  • Graphic design knowledge (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Canva, etc.)
  • Prior experience editing YouTube channels or performance-driven content
  • Motion graphics experience (text animations, callouts, transitions)
  • Experience working with founders or personal brands
