We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Flexera Data Cloud team. This role focuses on building scalable backend services and data pipelines on modern cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Snowflake, and API development, with a solid foundation in data engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python
* Build and optimize reliable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics
* Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI
* Work extensively with Snowflake and Databricks for data storage, querying, and optimization
* Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design data models, APIs, and system integrations
* Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, and observability of data services
* Implement best practices for code quality, testing, monitoring, and documentation
* Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making
* Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data workflows and backend services
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering
* Strong proficiency in Python
* Hands-on experience with Snowflake
* Experience building APIs using FastAPI
* Strong understanding of data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, batch and streaming pipelines)
* Solid knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling
* Experience working with cloud-based data architectures
Good-to-Have Skills:
* Experience with Databricks
* Familiarity with observability, monitoring, or analytics platforms
