Job description


The Scrum Master coordinates cross‐functional teams across Epic, provider organizations, and payer stakeholders throughout contracting and build phases. The role ensures alignment, disciplined delivery, and collaboration in complex interoperability initiatives.

Education & Certification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, IT, or related field
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent (Preferred)

100% Remote

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies
• Coordinate activities across payer, Epic, and provider teams
• Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables
• Track dependencies and mitigate risks
• Maintain documentation, dashboards, and executive reporting
• Support resource planning
• Ensure alignment between build teams and business stakeholders
• Drive accountability for sprint commitments
• Escalate issues and facilitate cross‐organization resolutions
• Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager
• Experience with Epic or healthcare payer environments
• Strong understanding of Scrum, SAFe, Kanban
• Experience managing multi‐organization initiatives
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Experience with Jira, ADO, Smartsheet

Desired Skills

• Experience with FHIR, APIs, EDI
• Familiarity with payer‐provider contracting workflows
• Experience in CMS‐regulated environments
