Overview
We are seeking a Power BI Reporting Architect to support an enterprise HR and Payroll analytics initiative within our Oracle Cloud ecosystem. This role will partner closely with HR, Payroll, and Enterprise Applications to design and deliver scalable, governed, high-performance reporting solutions.
This is not a report developer role. We are looking for a senior-level resource who can lead requirements, architect data models, optimize performance, and establish reporting standards across the HR and Payroll domain.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership
Serve as the primary liaison between Payroll, HR, and IT to translate business needs into technical reporting solutions.
Elicit and analyze complex requirements across workforce analytics, payroll reporting, compliance, and operational KPIs.
Drive clarity around KPI definitions, data lineage, and reporting governance.
Solution Architecture
Design scalable Power BI semantic models aligned to Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll data structures.
Develop advanced DAX measures and optimize performance for large datasets.
Architect data transformation workflows using Power Query.
Design intuitive, executive-ready dashboards with strong UI/UX principles.
Workshop Leadership
Facilitate stakeholder workshops to align on data definitions, reporting roadmaps, and prioritization.
Lead design thinking sessions to translate HR/Payroll use cases into structured reporting frameworks.
Full-Stack Delivery
Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Power BI solutions.
Integrate Power BI with Oracle Cloud HCM/Payroll data sources.
Collaborate with Enterprise Applications on data extraction, APIs, and integration strategies.
Support testing, validation, and production deployment.
Best Practice Governance
Establish reporting standards including naming conventions, security models, and data validation practices.
Ensure role-based security and data integrity.
Create reusable frameworks and documentation for sustainable analytics operations.
Technical Requirements
Advanced Power BI experience including:
• Complex DAX development
• Data modeling and star schema design
• Power Query transformation
• Performance tuning
Experience working with Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll data structures.
Understanding of Oracle Cloud reporting ecosystem and data extraction methods.
Hands-on experience with Visual Builder and Visual Builder Studio to extend Oracle Cloud functionality preferred.
Experience implementing reporting governance and enterprise standards.
Strong executive communication and workshop facilitation skills.
