Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Fluids or Thermal Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
  • Experience designing or operating data center high-density liquid cooling systems
  • Hands-on experience with high-density liquid cooling technologies (e.g., direct-to-chip, immersion cooling, CDUs, rear-door heat exchangers)
  • Proficiency with thermal flow design and analysis software (e.g., Macroflow, FlothermXT, Fluent); strong understanding of PIDs, hydraulic systems, pressure testing, and fluid quality management

Requirements:

  • Design, optimization, and support of high-density liquid cooling systems (CDUs, secondary fluid manifolds, rack manifolds, pumps, and hydronic loops) using CAD and CFD tools
  • Deployment and commissioning activities: coordinate with services for site surveys and ensure design familiarity prior to sales orders and deployment
  • Thermofluid/system analyses: perform thermofluid, pressure-drop, and system-level analyses to guarantee proper flow, cooling redundancy, and resiliency
  • Cross-functional collaboration and Voice of Customer: act as a technical liaison among product management, engineering, services, sales, and FAEs; provide VoC feedback and maintain documentation standards

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Liquid Cooling Infrastructure Engineer to work within our Product Management team to assist our Field Application Engineers and sales teams in the design, deployment and commissioning of high-density liquid cooling solutions for cutting-edge AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. This role requires deep expertise in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and data center operations to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable cooling infrastructure. This role will provide customer-facing engagements providing critical voice of customer feedback to the Product Management organization.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Design & Optimization: Provide end-to-end design support to sales and FAEs with both product steering as well as analysis, and optimization of heat-rejection systems, including CDUs, secondary fluid network manifolds, rack manifolds, pumps, and hydronic loops, using CAD and CFD tools.
  • Deployment & Commissioning: Collaborate with internal services team to ensure proper site surveys and design familiarity is known prior to sales orders and installation and deployment.
  • Analysis & Validation: Perform thermofluidic, pressure-drop, and system-level analyses to guarantee flow distribution and operational parameters while maintaining proper levels of cooling redundancy and resiliency.
  • Documentation & Standards: Work with internal product performance calculation tools ensuring proper product sizing and maintain closed loop feedback to internal tool designer
  • Services Support & VoC Feedback: Provide assistance to the services and support teams with closed loop alignment to the product management team ensuring continual VoC is front and center
  • Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison, working closely with internal product management, engineering, services, sales, and FAE teams ensuring customer needs are being addressed.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Fluids or Thermal Engineering Degree, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in designing or operating data center high density liquid cooling systems.
  • Hands-on experience with high-density liquid cooling technologies, such as direct-to-chip, immersion cooling, CDUs, and rear-door heat exchangers.
  • Proficiency with thermal flow design and analysis software (e.g., Macroflow, FlothermXT, Fluent).
  • Strong understanding of P&IDs, hydraulic systems, pressure testing, and fluid quality management.
  • Experience with AI/HPC workloads and their specific cooling demands.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements related to data center cooling.
  • Travel up to 50%
