Job Role: Full Stack Developer

Compensation range: $2,500 AUD - $3,500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the Singapore business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We are seeking mid-to-senior Full Stack Developers to help build a WhatsApp-based issue capture tool for frontline workers in hospitality, retail, and logistics. This tool will enable real-time issue logging and routing, ensuring teams can respond quickly and efficiently. The initial roadmap is 6 months, with the likelihood of ongoing work beyond the initial build.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain both backend and frontend components of a WhatsApp-based conversational issue capture system.
• Build scalable, agentic systems that handle real-time issue logging and routing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into functional, high-quality features.
• Participate in architecture discussions, design patterns, and technology selection.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Contribute to ongoing iteration and improvement of the product beyond the initial roadmap.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Mid-to-senior Full Stack Developer, available 40 hours/week.
• Strong experience with TypeScript across both frontend and backend.
• Backend expertise: Node.js, Terraform, AWS, and building scalable, real-time systems.
• Frontend expertise: React, HTML, CSS; experience with frontend conversational systems is a plus.
• Experience designing agentic conversational systems or similar backend architectures.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication.
• Flexible: open to hiring one developer leaning frontend and another leaning backend to cover full stack requirements.
• Available to start immediately, with a notice period of 1–2 weeks maximum from the job offer.
