Job description

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Accountant to support financial accounting and reporting activities for our Life Insurance client on a multiyear contract basis. This role is fully remote and focuses on GAAP and STAT year‑end close cycles, financial reporting deliverables, and insurance‑specific accounting requirements.

Responsibilities:

Perform GAAP and STAT financial accounting, including monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities.
Prepare and review account reconciliations and insurance‑specific financial reporting packages.
Support financial reporting requirements across life insurance, annuity, and retirement products.
Work within established corporate accounting processes using PeopleSoft (primary GL) and potentially HFM for consolidation and reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
5 + years of insurance accounting experience, including GAAP/STAT close and reconciliations.
