About the project
TUI, is a global business with over 70 000 people on board, great history and challenging plans for building a digital future. TUI is the largest leisure, travel and tourism company globally, and it owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise ships and retail shops.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will join a high-performing, cross-functional team dedicated to delivering reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions across TUI’s global digital ecosystem. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence and enhancing our cloud capabilities by working closely with development teams, architects, and stakeholders.

With a strong DevSecOps mindset and passion for automation, you will influence system architecture, shape engineering practices, and ensure our platforms are observable, maintainable, and resilient. Your work will directly impact the availability, performance, and scalability of our cloud-native systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS and modern infrastructure tools

  • Ensure system observability and support effective change, configuration, and incident management processes

  • Contribute to the improvement of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevSecOps maturity

  • Support production environments by enabling rapid response to incidents and minimizing downtime

  • Promote best practices in cloud solution architecture, infrastructure-as-code, security, and reliability

  • Collaborate with product teams to embed operational readiness and quality throughout the development lifecycle

Qualifications:
  • Proven hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including architecture and deployment of distributed systems

  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI or Jenkins

  • Solid understanding of DevSecOps practices and automation-first approaches

  • Proficient with monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Datadog) and incident management platforms (e.g., PagerDuty)

  • Competency in a programming or scripting language such as Python, Node.js, or Bash

  • Strong experience with Linux system administration and understanding of Windows systems

  • Good working knowledge of networking and security principles, including DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and VPNs

  • Experience with Kubernetes cluster administration and orchestration

  • Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English
