  • Execute high-volume outbound lead generation activities (cold calling, cold emailing, and social media outreach) to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries via phone, email, or chat to ensure no lead is missed
  • Qualify leads against minimum criteria and conduct consultative discovery to understand client needs before passing opportunities to Regional Sales Managers or Business Development Executives
  • Maintain and utilize CRM tools (Salesforce, Hubspot, Slack, and Google) to track sales activities, leads, and opportunities, and conduct research to articulate the value proposition

Shift: EST (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM US Hours)

Local Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PHT

Provisioning: Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD)

Job Summary: The Business Development Representative is the frontline driver of the sales pipeline. This role is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and qualifying new business opportunities through high-volume outreach. The Business Development Representative is responsible for responding, identifying, and pursuing new business opportunities or leads while building and nurturing potential client relationships and contributing to the growth of the organization. 

What does a day in the life of a Business Development Representative I look like?

  • High-Volume Lead Generation: Execute "rinse and repeat" outbound activities, including cold calling, cold emailing, and social media outreach, to identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted markets.
  • Inbound Response & Engagement: Respond promptly and professionally to all new business inquiries via phone, email, or chat to ensure no lead is missed.
  • Lead Qualification: Evaluate leads against minimum criteria to determine their fit with the organization’s target client profile before passing them to Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) or Business Development Executives (BDEs).
  • Consultative Discovery: Initiate meaningful conversations with potential clients to understand their specific needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • CRM Management & Tracking: Use Salesforce, Hubspot, Slack, and Google to accurately track and manage all sales activities, leads, and opportunities.
  • Strategic Research: Conduct in-depth research to master the organization’s products/services and effectively communicate the value proposition to prospects.
  • Performance Excellence: Meet or exceed performance targets for related KPIs while adhering to all company policies.
  • Continuous Growth: Participate in training programs and learning modules to improve knowledge of products and processes.

What are the qualifications of a Business Development Representative I?

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or an equivalent role. Experience in a call center environment is highly preferred.
  • Communication Mastery: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including high-level presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Technical Savvy: Proficient in using computers and software, with specific experience in Salesforce and Hubspot.
  • Mindset: Ability to handle the "rinse and repeat" nature of outbound calls while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Industry Knowledge: A background in the automotive industry is considered a strong advantage (nice-to-have).
  • Availability: Must be able to work the 9 AM – 6 PM EST US Hours shift (M-F) from a remote Philippine location.
