THE ROLE

The Head of Education, Hungary, will lead the strategic expansion of Matific’s presence in Hungary, driving growth in revenue across key districts in alignment with our broader business objectives. This role is central to strengthening our market footprint, building sustainable partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence. Experience within the education sector is highly preferred.

THE ROLE will be focused on:

  1. Building and leading a high-performing team of 2 FTE to identify and unlock growth opportunities, selling in the value proposition of the Matific offering to leading commercial discussions with key decision makers to closing the deal.
  2. Strategic account managing with executive presence and nurturing relationships to drive short and long-term sustainable business growth. The role reports to the Global Director of Sales.


Over time, strong performance in this role can lead to broader opportunities, including regional expansion into Eastern and Central Europe with increased leadership responsibility within the company.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and Execute Strategic Plans: Create and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's book of business in Hungary.
  • Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Analysis to identify new growth areas, whether new acquisition of districts or upselling driving adoption into existing relationships.
  • Monitor Performance: Track sales metrics and report on the status of accounts and transactions.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with content, product, marketing, delivery and operations teams to align on growth and expansion efforts.
  • Monitor Market Trends: Keep an eye on market trends and competition to inform business decisions.
  • Report to Senior Management: Provide regular updates and forecast reports on business development activities and successes to senior management.
  • Travel as required for meetings, conferences and events domestically and overseas.


Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of result-driven expertise in business development and partnership growth.
  • Skills: Strong sales leadership and pipeline management, strategic thinking, relationship-building, well organised, reliable, time management, business and commercial acumen, collaborative, external and internal key stakeholder management.
  • Competencies: Consultative sales approach, problem solver, growth and hunter mindset, excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, high energy, motivated and driven to succeed, can-do attitude with a hands-on approach.
  • Industry Knowledge: Not required but beneficial in the SaaS, Education and/or EdTech industry. Searching for a quick learner demonstrating success in driving strong growth results.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree desirable.
