Position Overview
ISG is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth for its Network Software business. This role is focused on enterprise level sales and requires deep expertise in the enterprise networking market, a strong sales pedigree, and exceptional relationship building capability.
 
The role operates in a matrixed model, working closely with ISG industry vertical sales teams while maintaining a strong connection to the Network Software business. The successful candidate will leverage internal relationships to gain client access, originate opportunities, and build a sustainable sales pipeline aligned to ISG’s Network Software offerings.
Responsibilities
  • Own new business development for ISG Network Software across defined industry verticals
  • Partner with ISG vertical sales leaders and client teams to identify target accounts and secure client meetings
  • Generate, qualify, and progress sales opportunities through the full sales lifecycle
  • Build and maintain senior level relationships with enterprise clients, network service providers, vendors, and partners
  • Develop a deep understanding of client network environments and business drivers to position relevant Network Software solutions
  • Collaborate with ISG consulting, delivery, and product teams to shape and close opportunities
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Network Software growth strategy through market insight and client feedback
  • Represent ISG in client meetings, industry events, and relevant forums
Measures of Success
  • Achievement of annual sales and revenue targets
  • Consistent growth and quality of sales pipeline
  • Successful conversion of opportunities into closed revenue
  • Strength and longevity of client relationships established 
Required Skillsets
  • This is a remote position based in the US; significant client facing travel with an emphasis on face-to-face meetings
  • Demonstrable, in depth understanding of the enterprise network market is essential
  • Proven experience selling enterprise network solutions in a carrier, vendor, partner, or systems integrator environment
  • Strong history of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Established enterprise client relationships and existing network strongly preferred
  • Experience selling software licenses or software-based solutions advantageous but not required
  • Strong commercial judgment and business acumen
Skills and Attributes
  • Highly motivated sales professional with a clear focus on revenue generation
  • Relationship driven approach with the credibility to engage senior client stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed organization and collaborating across multiple teams
  • Confident managing complex, consultative sales cycles
Role Structure and Reporting
  • Matrixed role working across ISG industry vertical sales teams and the Network Software business
  • Dotted line into Network Software business leadership, with close day to day collaboration across ISG
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required
