Job description

Title: Backup Administrator / Data Protection Solution Engineer (Rubrik on AWS)
Duration: 6 months (960 hours)
Location: Canada preferred (Reliability clearance required); U.S. acceptable for some deployment activities
Security Clearance: Level 1 – Reliability

They are looking for 2 resources:
Resource 1: PPDM skills
Resource 2: Rubrik skills

Role Overview:
Large Insurance company requires two Backup Administrators (positioned to the client as Data Protection Solution Engineers) to support the deployment, integration, optimization, and operational readiness of Rubrik Cyber Data Protection on AWS.
These are hands-on implementation and operations roles, responsible for configuring, onboarding, validating, and supporting cloud workload protection as part of their cyber resilience program.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deploy, configure, and optimize Rubrik clusters and Rubrik Security Cloud
• Onboard AWS cloud workloads for continuous backup and monitoring
• Configure replication, retention policies, anomaly scanning, and ransomware detection
• Perform initial backups and validate success via Rubrik dashboards
• Support functional testing, recovery validation, and RTO/RPO alignment
• Create and maintain runbooks and recovery playbooks
• Configure monitoring, webhooks, and service management integrations
• Support operational readiness and provide knowledge transfer to teams

Required Skills & Experience:
• Strong hands-on Rubrik Cyber Data Protection experience (cloud-focused)
• Proven experience deploying Rubrik in AWS environments
• Backup, restore, recovery, and ransomware protection expertise
• Experience onboarding cloud workloads at scale
• Comfortable operating in regulated enterprise environments
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
