Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • At least 1 year of market-related experience, especially in data center, heating and cooling, or physical infrastructure products and their applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences; highly organized with strong project management and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn ERP/SAP-like systems; willingness to travel up to 25% (primarily domestic, with some international trips).

Requirements:

  • Support internal teams by providing basic product knowledge for assigned product families and facilitating product launches, including ERP/CRM setup, marketing collateral, and internal training.
  • Coordinate offer integration across departments to incorporate new products and price lists into ERP systems, and assist lifecycle management, sourcing, and operations for supply chain efficiency and product availability.
  • Serve as primary contact for Inside Sales or Customer Service on part numbers, ERP data, product specs and drawings, communicating product line strategy.
  • Conduct win/loss analysis, evaluate product line financial performance, monitor competitive landscape, and support trade shows and other company events.

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join the Data Power and Control Team on a Remote basis, working CST or EST time zones preferred. This role serves a critical role in the daily tasks necessary to facilitate Legrand products and associated technology. This position supports internal teams of Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Sourcing and Operations specifically regarding assigned product families

 

What Will You Do?

  • Support aforementioned teams by supplying basic product knowledge of assigned product families 
  • Facilitate the launch of organic new products including ERP and CRM system set up, driving development and publication of marketing collateral, performing internal product training, or any other information gathering/sharing required to ensure the success of the product launch 
  • Manage offer integration activities by coordinating with various departments to incorporate new products and price lists into ERP system 
  • Following guidance from product management, assist the life cycle management, sourcing and operations teams to ensure efficiency of supply chain management and product availability 
  • Act as the primary contact for Inside sales or customer service as it applies to part number schemes, ERP information, product specifications and drawings, or other product or process related information 
  • Following guidance from product management, ensuring the product line strategy is effectively communicated and carried out to ensure success of the assigned product families 
  • Perform win/loss analysis for given product setand access product line financial performance per opportunity, customer type, or specific vertical markets 
  • Assess and report on the competitive landscape, including features and benefits of competitive products, market pricing, competitive messaging and marketing, and targeted customer base 
  • Support and participate in trade shows, including booth duty, focompany sponsored events 
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in engineering, business, or related field; MBA is preferred.

 

Experience: 1+ year of market related experience, especially in data center, heating and cooling, or physical infrastructure products and their applications.

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Comfortability with learning mechanical systems including data center infrastructure, cooling, powerand a robust fundamental knowledge of AI deep learning  
  • Must possess effective interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with experience in translating highly technical concepts into digestible content for varied audiences 
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects and deadlines simultaneously 
  • Must be a team player who can work well in a cross-functional environment  
  • Must be highly motivated with the desire to take initiative  
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required 
  • Ability to learn ERP and similar systems (like SAP) to support assigned product families 
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% primarily domestic with some international trips
