Senior Technical Product Manager, Apps

ABOUT THE ROLE 

As a Senior Technical Product Manager you will be responsible for evolving and sustaining VTEX’s Apps and Mature Storefronts — a core set of products that power enterprise-scale commerce operations worldwide. This role sits at the intersection of platform, developer experience, and large-scale commerce, ensuring reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement in a high-traffic environment.
You will work closely with engineering, growth, and commercial teams to maintain and enhance products built on VTEX IO, a robust development platform that enables merchants and partners to create custom applications and extend VTEX’s core capabilities. While these products are mature and widely adopted, any change has significant impact, requiring careful prioritization and strong execution.
This is a highly technical product management role, ideal for someone with a strong engineering background who transitioned into product management.

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Apps and Mature Storefronts teams are responsible for some of VTEX’s most critical platform capabilities. These products support enterprise merchants globally, handling large volumes of traffic and complex customization needs.
The team focuses on maintaining stability and performance while gradually evolving the platform to support future initiatives, including the modernization of apps and the transition toward AI and scalable solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

• Own and evolve VTEX’s Apps and Mature Storefronts products, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability in enterprise environments.
• Define priorities in a context where products are mature, highly used, and require continuous maintenance alongside incremental improvements.
• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver technical solutions for developers building on VTEX IO.
• Translate technical platform concepts into clear product strategies aligned with business needs.
• Partner with Growth and Commercial teams to support product decisions with direct impact on customer adoption and revenue.
• Manage product execution in a high-scale environment where changes affect a large number of stores and users.
• Support incident management from a product perspective, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
• Contribute to the long-term product vision, including future evolutions of the Apps ecosystem and native platform capabilities.

WHO YOU ARE

• Technical Product Manager with strong background managing technical/platform products.
• Strong background working with developer-focused products, APIs, or extensible platforms.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess impact and make decisions in high-scale systems.
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in complex technical environments.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Experience with e-commerce platforms or enterprise SaaS products is a plus.
