Job Scope: Generally responsible for developing all aspects of company Health and Safety policy and procedure development and training as well as the management of all aspects of Health and Safety consulting projects. This work will be performed under minimal supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Public Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
Certifications: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of pertinent expertise managing a safety program in petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, heavy manufacturing, refining, paper industry, or energy. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role and safety consulting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
· In-depth knowledge of relevant Safety State and Local Authority regulations and standards.
· Proficiency in software tools, including Microsoft Office and other Safety and Health related tools (ISNetworld, Procore, etc.) is a plus.
· Proficiency Teams, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and leadership experience and abilities.
· Experience with developing SIMOPS programs and implementing on site.
· Detailed knowledge of Commissioning safety program development and implementation.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be willing to travel at least 60% of the time.
· Must have a Driver's License in good standing to drive and operate a motor vehicle.
· Must be willing to visit client’s sites to collect data as needed, including walking up and down stairs, crawling over piping and objects, climbing ladders, and walking over rough terrain.
· Must be able to work outside in the heat and cold elements of the environment.
· Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
· Must be able to stand for long periods.
· Must be medically qualified to use respiratory protection equipment.
