Job description

The Production Team at LILT

LILT’s production team focuses on onboarding and localized content delivery for enterprise and mid-market customers, who use our AI technology for their multilingual content requirements. Our team engages with customers from post-sales through steady-state production and is made up of experts in various functional and technical areas of LILT’s overall offering. While we work in various locations, we are highly collaborative within the team and have tight interactions with our colleagues in the LILT Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams. Additionally, we operate as critical members of account-based teams that ensure LILT’s technology is utilized to deliver maximum value to our customers. While we’re at it, we have fun and enjoy the ride together.

Where You’ll Work

This is a contract position based out of India or Romania.

Authorization to work in India, Argentina, or Romania is a precondition of employment.

What You’ll Do

We're looking for an experienced multimedia specialist with a localization background who loves solving hard problems, ensuring work is done on time to keep the customer experience seamless, and interacting with a variety of stakeholders. This position is for someone who has strong technical aptitude, extensive customer-facing experience, and the ability to manage competing priorities from multiple customers at once.

You will be responsible for scoping and processing multimedia content within our platform and partner platforms (e.g. CaptionHub, Articulate), ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.

You will work hand-in-hand with Sales, Production, Operations, and Engineering. You will be responsible for providing the technical expertise to make LILT customers successful.

You will have a broad range of skills and experience ranging from global multimedia content management lifecycle, a working knowledge of video and audio processing with respect to content pipelines and integrations. You will have the insight to make the connection between a customer’s specific business problems and LILT's solution, the customer-facing skills to communicate that connection and vision to a wide variety of technical and executive audiences, and the technical skills to be able to not only build demos and execute proof-of-concepts but also to provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a localisation subject matter expert during the pre-sales cycle, providing guidance on e-learning content workflows, tools, and formats.

  • Scope and plan multimedia localisation projects for e-learning content across multiple languages, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

  • Prepare source e-learning files (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate) for localisation, including extraction of translatable content, audio, and visual assets.

  • Reintegrate translated and localised materials, ensuring fully functional, linguistically accurate final e-learning modules.

  • Support customer onboarding and implementation, offering workflow guidance for e-learning localisation.

  • Manage localisation of video, voiceover, subtitling, and interactive learning assets in line with project requirements.

  • Provide best practices for managing localisation-ready content and advise on automation opportunities in e-learning localisation workflows.

  • Operate and maintain localisation tools and platforms, supporting both AI-driven and human-led localisation processes.

  • Review localised e-learning content, including SCORM packages, for quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to brand and platform standards.

  • Perform final QA checks ("final eyes") and prepare final files for delivery to clients or internal stakeholders.

  • Act as the go-to expert on e-learning localisation workflows and tools across the organisation.

  • Meet SLAs and KPIs for engineering and localisation delivery.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in e-learning localisation or multimedia localisation with a strong focus on learning and development content.

  • Deep expertise in preparing and localising content developed in Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, and similar authoring tools.

  • Strong understanding of SCORM/xAPI compliance, LMS integrations, and common e-learning file types.

  • Proficiency in video subtitling, editing, and localisation, including experience with voiceover, dubbing, audio integration, and subtitle syncing.

  • Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia, Audacity) and managing media files at scale.

  • Familiarity with multimedia file formats and localisation-friendly formats (e.g., XLIFF, JSON, XML, STRINGS, SRT, VTT).

  • Exposure to CAT tools and localisation platforms (TMX editors, translation memory tools, OCR, and alignment software).

  • Solid understanding of character encoding, formatting rules, and localisation QA standards.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
