About the Position

The Senior Accountant (remote, based in the Philippines) is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records across Nestify’s international entities. This role supports the Accounting Manager with full-cycle accounting, reconciliations, month-end processes, and financial reporting preparation.

This is a senior, hands-on accounting role focused on execution and delivery. The position requires strong practical accounting ability, ownership of reconciliations and controls, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, integrity, and operational effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform and review full balance sheet and bank reconciliations across all entities (UK, France, Ireland, UAE).
  • Support and execute month-end close processes and financial reporting preparation.
  • Reconcile booking income received against booking platform payouts.
  • Prepare and post journals, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Review and manage creditor and debtor balances.
  • Monitor and investigate variances and discrepancies.
  • Support VAT and tax-related reporting where required.
  • Maintain accurate landlord statements and financial records.
  • Respond to landlord and internal financial queries accurately and professionally.
  • Support cash flow monitoring and analysis.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and data integrity within Xero.
  • Review and improve accounting processes and workflows.
  • Provide guidance and quality control on work completed by junior finance team members where applicable.

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • 4 to 7 years of relevant, hands-on accounting or senior bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong experience in full-cycle accounting and reconciliations.
  • Solid practical experience with VAT, profit and loss, balance sheet control accounts, creditors, and debtors.
  • Proven experience using accounting software, ideally Xero.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial deliverables.
  • Experience working with multiple entities or international markets is a strong advantage.
  • Formal accounting qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not required.

Monday to Friday
09:00 to 18:00 (CEST Time)
