Key Account Manager

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Master's degree or above, preferably in life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Business Development or Marketing and Sales Executive in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors and key customers
  • Willingness to travel for business and the ability to work remotely in Germany

Requirements:

  • Assist the team leader in proposing marketing and sales strategies based on market trends, competition, customer behavior and the company's current situation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local distributors and critical customers, providing timely training and solutions to improve the customer base and brand exposure
  • Assist in establishing the local distributor management and evaluation system, including evaluating potential distributors and setting annual sales goals for each distributor
  • Work with the marketing team on events and promotional activities (webinars, seminars, exhibitions), select media and promotion platforms, coordinate internal resources to deliver presentations, and track promotion materials

Job description

Reporting Line: Line Manager in Switzerland


Location: Fully remote in Germany with business travel requirement


Purpose of the position:

The primary focus of this position is to shape the company strategy to penetrate the German markets, and to build and maintain relationships with current and potential distributors and clients to maximize our business in the biopharma industry.


Main Responsibility/ Job Expectations:

  • Assisting the team leader to propose appropriate marketing and sales strategy based on the in-depth analysis of market trends, competition, customer behavior and our current situation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local distributors and critical customers. Provide timely training and appropriate solutions with the help of internal or external resources in order to improve our customer base and brand exposure.
  • Assisting the team leader to establish the system of local distributor management and evaluation including but not limited to evaluating the potential distributors and setting up the annual sales goal for each distributor.
  • Work with marketing team on related marketing activities, including proposal and implement of necessary events (webinar, seminar, exhibition et, al), screening media and promotion platform, coordinating internal resources to give speech in the defined events as needed, and track the design of the promotion materials. 
  • Attend industry trade shows and events to widen knowledge base and increase networks.
  • Achieve sales income that meets agreed targets in regional markets.
  • Create and update sales status reports including identified contacts, leads and confirmed sales through direct and distributor channels.


Requirements

 

Education:
  • Master or above, prefer major in life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals


Experience:
  • Proven 1 year working experience as a Business Development or Marketing and Sales Executive in the Pharmaceutical industry.
