SAP General Ledger/ Controlling Consultant

This is a remote position.

KATBOTZ is seeking an experienced SAP GL/Controlling Consultant with strong expertise in General Ledger Accounting and SAP Controlling (CO). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Finance, with a strong understanding of financial accounting, cost controlling, profitability analysis, and integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities

SAP General Ledger (GL)

• Configure and support SAP General Ledger Accounting, including:
  

  • Chart of Accounts
    

  • Document types, posting keys, and financial statements
    

  • New GL / S/4HANA Universal Journal
    

• Manage period-end, month-end, and year-end closing activities
  

• Support financial reporting, reconciliation, and audit requirements
  

• Handle intercompany accounting, allocations, and accruals
  

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  

SAP Controlling (CO)

• Configure and support CO sub-modules, including:
  

  • Cost Center Accounting (CCA)
    

  • Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
    

  • Internal Orders (IO)
    

  • Product Costing (PC)
    

  • COPA (Costing / Account-based)
    

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  

• Perform profitability and margin analysis to support management decisions
  

Implementation & Project Support

• Participate in end-to-end SAP implementations, rollouts, and enhancements
  

• Conduct fit-gap analysis and gather business requirements
  

• Prepare BRD, Functional Specifications (FS), and process flow diagrams
  

• Coordinate with ABAP/technical teams for RICEFW developments
  

• Support SIT, UAT, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization
  

Integration & Stakeholder Management

• Ensure seamless integration with MM, SD, AA, and Treasury modules
  

• Work closely with finance stakeholders to translate business needs into SAP solutions
  

• Provide end-user training and ongoing support
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP GL / CO Consultant
  

• Strong knowledge of GL Accounting and CO processes
  

• Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance
  

• Sound understanding of financial accounting, controlling, and reporting
  

• Experience in implementations and support projects
  

• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
  
  

Good to Have

• SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation experience
  

• Exposure to Group Reporting, FSCM, or Treasury
  

• Experience in consulting environments
  

• SAP FICO certification
