Job Description:


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Lawyer to support a UK-based law firm remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong familiarity with UK litigation processes, particularly the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), and be confident managing a wide range of civil litigation matters independently. This role requires excellent research, drafting, and client communication skills. You will work closely with the client’s in-house team and barristers, and must be comfortable handling high-quality legal work in a fully remote setting.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.

  • Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk, and procedure under the UK Civil Procedure Rules.

  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, witness statements, correspondence, and settlement agreements.

  • Handle court filings, disclosure processes, and liaise with courts and third parties.

  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations based on findings.

  • Collaborate with barristers and other stakeholders on trial preparation and hearings.

  • Maintain accurate and organized case files using digital tools and platforms.

  • Provide timely updates and clear communication with clients and team leads.



Requirements


  • 3+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in litigation, preferably with UK law firms or legal departments.

  • Strong understanding and practical experience with the UK Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).

  • Proven ability to handle a broad range of civil litigation matters including (but not limited to) commercial disputes, property litigation, and contractual claims.

  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and advisory skills.

  • Capable of managing multiple litigation cases independently, including pre-action protocol, pleadings, disclosure, and trial preparation.

  • Experience in liaising with clients, barristers, and courts in the UK jurisdiction.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and clear client-facing manner.

  • Comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment while maintaining consistent communication and updates with clients or team leads

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or other UK jurisdiction.

  • Experience using UK legal tech platforms and case management tools (e.g., LEAP, Clio, or similar).

  • Previous experience working with international clients or remotely with UK firms is a plus.
