AppZen is expanding into Germany and is looking for an energetic and motivated Senior Solutions Consultant with experience presenting Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay, or financial automation solutions to enterprise customers.
In this role, you will partner closely with Sales Account Executives to drive revenue by taking technical ownership of opportunities throughout the full sales cycle. You will support Account Executives from deal qualification and discovery through technical validation, proof points, and successful deal closure.

The Principal Solutions Consultant combines strong business acumen and technical expertise, with the ability to clearly articulate value to audiences ranging from IT and Finance teams to senior leadership and C-level executives. You will act as a trusted advisor to both prospects and internal stakeholders, addressing technical objections and guiding customers toward successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop deep expertise in AppZen’s products, platform, and use cases
  • Deliver compelling, customer-specific demonstrations and presentations
  • Articulate business value aligned to German and European finance and compliance requirements
  • Identify and address critical customer business and technical challenges
  • Take technical ownership of opportunities across the entire sales cycle
  • Partner with Account Executives on qualification, discovery, and deal strategy
  • Lead responses to RFI/RFPs, security questionnaires, and data protection inquiries (e.g., GDPR-related)
  • Plan and manage proof-of-concepts and pilot engagements to successful completion

  • Must-Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Pre-Sales, or similar customer-facing technical roles
  • Experience with Accounts Payable, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), ERP, or financial automation platforms (e.g., Ariba or similar)
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise sales cycles for business software
  • Strong balance of sales, business, and technical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field

  • Nice-to-Have:
  • Background in Accounting, Accounts Payable, or Procurement
  • Experience working with German enterprises or within regulated European industries
  • Familiarity with German accounting standards and compliance requirements
