About the Role

We are looking for a talented SDET to join our global team and help build scalable, reliable, and intelligent testing solutions for our product. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks while exploring opportunities to leverage AI in improving testing efficiency and coverage. This is a fully remote role open to candidates anywhere in the world.

Location

Zact is a global company with multiple locations across US, Europe and India.
We provide 100% Remote Working Option.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using TypeScript, Python, Pytest, Playwright, and related technologies
• Create and maintain API tests using Postman
• Collaborate with engineers and QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive coverage
• Identify tests and workflows that can benefit from automation or AI‑assisted testing
• Explore and leverage AI tools to improve test generation, defect prediction, and test optimization
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable test code using best practices
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to trigger automated tests and integrate them into release processes
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve test failures in coordination with development teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test frameworks, and tooling

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of proven experience as an SDET, QA Engineer, or Software Engineer with a focus on automated testing
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript or Python
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright, Pytest, and Postman
• Experience with IDEs like Cursor or equivalent for test development and workflow efficiency
• Understanding of AI concepts and how they can be applied in testing and automation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and triggering automated tests
• Ability to design test frameworks, write reusable test code, and identify automation opportunities
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, distributed team environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across time zones

Nice to Have

• Experience with other test automation frameworks or languages
• Exposure to AI‑assisted test generation or analytics tools
• Knowledge of SaaS, B2B, or enterprise software environments
• Understanding of performance, security, or accessibility testing

Minimum Education Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
