• Design, implement, and own our new event-driven data architecture on AWS.

• Get your hands dirty: write code, build pipelines, optimize queries - you're not just directing, you're building.

• Implement and manage a modern data stack that scales with our growth.

Data Integrity & Governance

• Establish and enforce robust data governance, quality, and observability practices to ensure our data is accurate, compliant, and trustworthy.

• Design systems with compliance baked in (PCI-DSS, GDPR).

Unlock Value

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to unlock the value of our data.

• Enable advanced analytics, real-time dashboards, and machine learning capabilities.

Mentor & Grow

• Lead a small team, starting with mentoring our Data Analyst and growing the team as we scale.

• Foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Help your team members grow into strong data engineers.

• You have 5+ years of experience in data architecture, with a proven track record of designing and building scalable, production-grade data systems in a fintech or high-volume transactional environment.

• You have deep, hands-on expertise with the AWS data ecosystem, including Aurora, Redshift, S3, Lambda.

• You live and breathe event-driven architecture and have practical experience (Kafka, event streaming).

• You are a master of the modern data stack.

• You possess a strong understanding of financial data and regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR).

• You are a leader who can mentor a team, make pragmatic technical decisions, and communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• You thrive in high-ownership environments and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and code.
